Minor Update v0.3.6:
- Added pooling for reused environment items and enemies!!!
This was a huge, complex and difficult feature to implement in the current world but now dynamic objects like enemies or static often reused objects like the lollipop trees are pooled, meaning they are not stored in the chunks resulting in less memory usage and faster (un)loading time. The performance should be better, though the chunks themselves have not been optimzed in every aspect, "just" added the new system for old and new upcoming level chunks!
The downside of this is, that every pickup object is respawned when the chunk is un and reloaded, most noticable in the tutorial area. With that the player can easily farm some upgrades forever but that is a task/ issue to solve for the future ;) aaand is annoying to exploit anyways...
